The ASMR Ritual

Our signature scratch rituals use slow, intentional touch — fingertips, soft tools and textures moving across the skin in a steady rhythm — to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.

How it works

ASMR — autonomous sensory meridian response — describes the calming, sometimes tingling sensation many people feel in response to specific soft sounds and light, repetitive touch. Your therapist works with fingertips, brushes and other gentle tools across the scalp, arms, back and hands, layering soft sounds with slow, patterned movement. There's no massage oil or deep pressure involved — the focus is purely on touch, rhythm and sound.

What it's known for

  • · Deeply relaxing — many clients describe it as meditative
  • · Can trigger a calming, tingling sensation across the scalp and skin
  • · Helps quiet a busy mind and lower everyday stress
  • · Often leaves people feeling drowsy — some doze off during the session
  • · A gentler alternative to massage for people sensitive to pressure or touch

What to expect

You'll lie or sit comfortably, fully clothed or lightly undressed depending on the area being worked. The room stays quiet and dim, with soft ambient sound. Sessions are slow — don't expect much conversation once it begins. Most people find the first few minutes unusual and then sink into it; a few find ASMR touch doesn't do much for them, which is normal too.
